Hide Local Disk Drive of Computer in Windows

Now a days we all have many personal files we don’t want to show others keep them secret

We store our files in local disk of our computer for privacy reasons 

We can hide those entire local disk drives in our computer and we can access the drive later when we need.

Mostly many people might don’t know about how to hide these disk drives manually without using any softwares

So lets start

 Go to start then type ‘run’ OR press win + R to open run    
              
              Now type 'diskpart'
             

         

    

A new command window will open, In this window type ‘list volume’
Then all your drives present in your system will appear

Check clearly about which Volume no. is Matching with which Ltr in your system .

If you want to hide Local Disk D in your system remember the volume no.

As in my case i choose Local Disk D so my volume no. is Volume 4

Now what to do here is we are removing letter from the disk so it will not show in ‘My computer’

Type ‘select volume 4’ and press Enter 

              

To remove letter D ----- 
                                      Type ‘remove letter d’ and press Enter 

  
Thats it. Now go to your “My Computer”, you will find Drive D as Hidden

Dont panic your thinking how to Un-hide the drive ??

How to Un-Hide Disk Drive of Computer: 

Go to ‘Start’ then ‘Run’ and now type ‘Diskpart’

A New window will open , In this window Type ‘list volume’

Then All your drives present in your system will appear .

 Type ‘select volume 4′  and press ‘Enter’  

Then type ‘assign letter D’ and again press ‘Enter’.

Now go to your My computer and you will find Drive D as UnHidden which means your hidden drive starts appearing.
